In 2019, Fengfan International won the bid for this project. The strait where the project is located spans 1.5 kilometers and the design height of the towers is 275 meters. This is the first overseas large-span transmission line construction project signed by a Chinese private enterprise in the form of general contracting. Upon completion, the project will help Chile achieve the interconnection of the northern and central power grids.
